A person that I know of that dispalys the Greek idea of arete is Shia LaBeouf when he plays in the movie Transformers.

Yes! I know a person who display in a greek idea of arete. The person I say is my mother and auntie because they always strives for excellence in everything they do or accomplish. My mother makes sure her kids don't have to suffer or ask for anything because, she make it right. My auntie strives for excellence because she is a hero to me anything she sees that isn't right she tries her best to do something. These two ladies are the heros of my life and the people i know for sure that will give me good edvice.

A person who shows the Greek idea of arete is my mom. She is a hero who strives for excellence when it comes to her kids. she will do anything for her kids even if that means she have to take from herself.
