This week we are working on analyzing stereotyping through genderism and sexism.

In this unit, we address how stereotyping influences the way we perceive others in regards to genderism and sexism.

How to access the lesson plans:
These links below are all of my lesson plans that we have gone over throughout this school year starting with the most current lesson plan to the oldest. These lesson plans explain everything that we do within the classroom daily as far as the chapter being covered, to the vocabulary that is discussed, the objectives to be mastered, the Course Level Expectations; to the day by day agendas.

Under each of those days are a complete breakdown of what we are doing on that day within the classroom.

- Explain the effects of stereotyping and discrimination.
- Distinguish the relation between stereotypes and prejudice.
- Describe how self-fulfilling prophecy affects people.
- Explain the characteristics of stereotyping.
- Describe the elements of the perception process.
- List strategies to correct inaccurate perceptions.
- Define the perceptual shortcuts;
- Do Now Activity: Access the Unit I Stereotypes Section 3 Power-Point on Teams or click here and read through slides: 354-358 and take notes. Answer the Do Now Question on slide #330. (Do Now=10 pts.)
- Journal Article Review: Complete "Unit I Journal Article Review #6". This assignment can be accessed on Teams or by clicking here. (Critical Thinking Questions=18 pts.)
- All assignments are due by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Submit work through Teams by taking a picture of finished work or by sending a digital copy of typed out work
